After studying music at the conservatories of Cannes and Montreuil, I trained in filmmaking at La Fonderie de l’Image in 2014.
In 2017, I spent a year in Dakar, Senegal, working with Talibés in the suburbs, creating a series of 150 portraits that was exhibited in Dakar and later in Paris. In 2018, I directed my first documentary, Les contes de Kokoro, in Benin, in partnership with the European Guild and the Vidome association. The film was selected for several festivals and won the “Golden Tree” award for Best Documentary at the Sarajevo International Film Festival in 2019.
That same year, I went to Chad to work with Central African Peul refugees in Niergui, producing the documentary project Réfugiés Photographes, which was exhibited in 2020 at the French Institute in N’Djamena. Also in 2019, I directed Au revoir Bangui, documenting the daily lives of Peuls affected by the third civil war in the Central African Republic, with support from the French Institute, Guéra Touristique, and France Volontaires.
Since 2022, I have continued my photographic projects in South Africa, Lesotho, Togo, and Benin, while developing several documentaries currently in progress. My work focuses on giving a voice to those who are often overlooked. Now based in Paris, I continue to work in Sub-Saharan Africa to tell the stories of marginalized communities.
